Sprint Cup Drivers' Meeting Uneventful

ATLANTA — We just finished up the drivers' meeting for today's Pep Boys Auto 500 and, as usual, it was a boring affair that took less than five-minutes.
Only one question was asked and that came from two-time Sprint Cup Champion and points leader Jimmie Johnson, who wanted clarification about setting the pace on restarts.
"Jimmie's questions is kind of a follow-up from the last couple of weeks, when you are coming to the restart the caution car sets the pace," said Robin Pemberton, director of competition. "When you get to the area of the restart area we ask that the leader maintain the pace of the caution car to give the leader the opportunity to make the break."
The meeting closed with the drivers and crew chiefs being told when the Sprint Cup haulers would line-up for next week's Triple-header weekend at Texas Motor Speedway. The garage will open at 7 a.m. on Friday and first practice will be at noon.
The Craftsman Trucks Series haulers and the Nationwide haulers will arrive at TMS on Thursday morning.

If you have never witnessed the arrival of the haulers to the track, you are really missing something. I observed one at TMS early one Friday morning about 5AM and it was an amazing site. The haulers are all clean and shiny and the lights on them are amazing. So if you get the chance go watch the haulers, even if it is in early AM.
